Ingredients

  • 500 ml Water
  • 2 teaspoons Black tea leaves
  • 1 piece Cinnamon stick
  • 3 pods Green cardamom pods
  • 2 pieces Cloves
  • 1 inch piece Fresh ginger
  • 4 pieces Black peppercorns
  • 1 piece Star anise
  • 100 ml Unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon Stevia sweetener

Directions

Step 1

In a saucepan, bring 500 ml of water to a boil.

Step 2

Add the black tea leaves to the boiling water.

Step 3

Crush the cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and black peppercorns using a mortar and pestle, then add them to the saucepan.

Step 4

Grate the fresh ginger and add it to the mixture in the saucepan.

Step 5

Add the star anise to the saucepan.

Step 6

Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse.

Step 7

Add the unsweetened almond milk to the saucepan and stir well.

Step 8

Let the mixture simmer for another 2 minutes.

Step 9

Strain the tea into cups to remove the spices and tea leaves.

Step 10

Stir in the stevia sweetener to taste and serve hot.
