Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef or lamb
  • 100 grams Frozen green peas
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 inch piece Ginger, grated
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 Green chili, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0 to taste Salt
  • 0 to taste Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 0.5 bunch Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Lemon, cut into wedges

Directions

Step 1

Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes until translucent.

Step 3

Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for 2 more minutes.

Step 4

Add the chopped green chili and cook for an additional minute.

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground meat to the pan. Cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until it is browned all over, about 6-7 minutes.
