Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef or lamb
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 6 whole leaves Lettuce leaves (Romaine or Iceberg)
  • 1 medium Tomato, sliced
  • 0.5 medium Cucumber, sliced
  • 0.5 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Mint leaves, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Begin by preparing the kebab meat. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef or lamb, salt, black pepper, ground cumin, paprika, minced garlic, chopped onion, and chopped fresh parsley. Mix well until evenly combined.

Step 2

Divide the meat mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each into an oblong patty about 1 inch thick.

Step 3

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the kebab patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and browned on the outside.

Step 4

While the kebabs are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by combining Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and chopped mint leaves in a small bowl. Stir well and set aside.

Step 5

Prepare the lettuce leaves by gently washing them and patting them dry. Use them as wraps for the sandwiches.

Step 6

Assemble the kebab sandwiches by placing one cooked kebab patty on each lettuce leaf. Top each with slices of tomato and cucumber.

Step 7

Drizzle the prepared yogurt sauce over each kebab sandwich.

Step 8

Serve immediately and enjoy your low-carb kebab sandwiches!
