Ingredients

  • 16 ounces ground pork sausage
  • 8 ounces ground beef
  • 0.75 cup almond flour
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 unit large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the ground pork sausage, ground beef, almond flour, and grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 3

Add the egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper to the meat mixture and mix well with your hands until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 4

Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture and roll it between your hands to form a ball. Place the meatball on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining mixture, spacing the meatballs evenly on the sheet.

Step 5

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 6

Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs in batches and cook until they are browned on all sides, approximately 5 minutes per batch. Transfer the browned meatballs back to the baking sheet.

Step 7

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

Step 8

Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. They can be enjoyed alone or tossed with a low-carb marinara sauce for extra flavor.
