Ingredients

  • 4 pieces (6 oz each) Mahi mahi fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Step 2

Pat the mahi mahi fillets dry with paper towels. Brush both sides of the fillets with olive oil and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Step 3

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter, cooking until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 4

Stir in the lemon zest and lemon juice into the butter mixture. Remove from heat and mix in chopped fresh parsley, basil, and thyme. Set aside the lemon herb butter.

Step 5

Place the seasoned mahi mahi fillets on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Step 6

Remove the grilled mahi mahi from the grill and transfer to a serving platter.

Step 7

Spoon the prepared lemon herb butter over each fillet, allowing it to melt and coat the fish.

Step 8

Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
