Ingredients

  • 1 pound Wagyu beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese slices
  • 8 leaves Large lettuce leaves
  • 1 Tomato
  • 0.5 Red onion
  • 1 Avocado
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Wagyu beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, gently mixing together with your hands until just combined.

Step 2

Form the beef mixture into four equal patties, making a slight indent in the center of each to aid even cooking.

Step 3

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties in the skillet.

Step 4

Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip each patty and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes until the desired doneness is reached and the cheese is melted.

Step 5

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato, red onion, and avocado.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix together Dijon mustard and mayonnaise to create a simple low-carb burger sauce.

Step 7

To assemble the burgers, lay two lettuce leaves per serving as a base, followed by a cooked Wagyu patty.

Step 8

Top each patty with slices of tomato, red onion, and avocado. Drizzle each with a bit of the mustard-mayo sauce.

Step 9

Use the remaining lettuce leaves as the 'top bun' to complete the burger.

Step 10

Serve immediately, and enjoy your gourmet low-carb Wagyu burger!
