Ingredients

  • 200 grams Low-carb fusilli pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 500 grams Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 400 grams Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 50 grams Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 15 grams Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the low-carb fusilli pasta and cook according to package instructions or until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until it starts to soften.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
