Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground pork
  • 250 grams Ground beef
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 50 grams Almond flour
  • 100 ml Heavy cream
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Butter

Directions

Step 1

Begin by finely chopping the onion. You want the pieces to be very small to ensure they blend well into the meatball mixture.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, ground beef, chopped onion, and almond flour.

Step 3

Add the eggs, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and ground black pepper to the bowl.

Step 4

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly using your hands or a wooden spoon until a uniform mixture is achieved.

Step 5

Form the mixture into small, even balls, approximately the size of a golf ball. You should make about 18-20 meatballs.

Step 6

Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and add the butter.

Step 7

Once the butter has melted and starts to sizzle, place the meatballs into the frying pan. Depending on the size of your pan, you may need to cook them in batches.

Step 8

Cook the meatballs for about 8-10 minutes on one side, until they are well browned.

Step 9

Carefully turn the meatballs over and continue cooking for another 8-10 minutes, or until fully cooked through.

Step 10

Remove the cooked meatballs from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to soak up any excess grease.

Step 11

Serve the Frikadeller hot with your choice of low-carb sides such as a fresh salad or steamed vegetables.
