Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 jalapeño (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a food processor or blender.

Step 2

Add the fresh lime juice to the avocados to help retain color and add a zesty flavor.

Step 3

Pour in the extra virgin olive oil which will add creaminess and richness to the sauce.

Step 4

Peel the garlic cloves and add them in. For a spicier flavor, you can also add half a jalapeño (remove seeds for less heat).

Add the fresh cilantro leaves to the mixture for an herby flavor.

Start blending the mixture and gradually add water until you reach your desired consistency. You may not need the full 0.25 cup.
