Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Step 4

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, about 7-8 minutes.

While the meat mixture is simmering, prepare the cauliflower mash. Steam the chopped cauliflower until very tender, about 10-12 minutes.

Step 7

Transfer the cooked cauliflower to a blender or food processor. Add the butter, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese, then blend until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 8

Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Step 9

Spoon the cauliflower mash on top of the meat mixture, spreading it evenly to cover the surface.

Step 10

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
