Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, Parmesan cheese, almond flour, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and dried basil.
Mix the ingredients until fully combined, being careful not to overmix as this can make the meatballs tough.
Form the mixture into approximately 16 equal-sized meatballs.
In a large oven-safe skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs to the skillet, cooking them in batches if necessary. Brown them on all sides, about 5 minutes per batch.
Once browned, add all the meatballs back into the skillet, if not already, and pour the marinara sauce over them.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
Towards the end of the baking time, slice the keto-friendly sub rolls open and layer them with slices of mozzarella cheese.
Remove the skillet from the oven and carefully place 3-4 meatballs into each sub roll, spooning additional sauce over the top.
Place the filled rolls on a baking sheet and return to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped fresh basil if desired, and serve warm.
