Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Low-carb baguette
  • 200 grams Deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 100 grams Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium Tomato, sliced
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) to lightly toast the baguettes.

Step 2

Slice the low-carb baguettes in half lengthwise, so they open like a book, but do not slice completely through.

Step 3

Spread a tablespoon of butter on the inside of each baguette half.

Step 4

Place the baguettes on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until lightly golden and crispy.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard together to make a spread.

Step 6

Once toasted, remove the baguettes from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.

Spread the mayonnaise and mustard mixture evenly on the inside of each toasted baguette.

Layer the lettuce leaves on the bottom halves of the baguettes.

Add an even layer of deli ham, followed by slices of cheddar cheese.

Step 10

Place slices of tomato on top of the cheese, then season with salt and black pepper.

Step 11

Close the sandwiches by folding the top halves of the baguettes over the filling.

Step 12

Slice each baguette in half diagonally, if desired, and serve immediately.
