  • 500 g Ground lamb
  • 0.5 medium, grated Onion
  • 2 cloves, minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 8 large Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 2 medium, diced Tomatoes
  • 0.5 medium, thinly sliced Cucumber
  • 0.25 medium, thinly sliced Red onion
  • 100 g, crumbled Feta cheese
  • 200 g Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp, chopped Fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, grated onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and transfer the meat mixture into the pan, pressing down to form an even layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the gyro meat is cooked through and lightly browned on top.
