Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 4 slice Cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 slice Bacon strips
  • 4 leaf Lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 0.5 medium Red onion
  • 4 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 8 slice Pickle slices

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a small indent in the center to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Step 3

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired level of doneness.

Step 4

While the patties are cooking, in a separate pan, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy, then remove them and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

Step 5

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each burger patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Step 6

Slice the tomato and red onion into thin rounds while the cheese is melting.

Step 7

Assemble the burgers: lay a lettuce leaf on a plate, top with a cheesy burger patty, add a slice of tomato, a couple of onion slices, a bacon strip cut in half, two pickle slices, and a tablespoon of mayonnaise.

Step 8

Cover with another lettuce leaf and hold everything together with a toothpick if needed.

Step 9

Serve the burgers immediately while hot, and enjoy your low-carb delight!
