Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 large leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 0.25 cup Pickles
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Mustard

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until evenly combined.

Step 3

Divide the beef mixture into four equal parts and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

Step 4

Place the patties on the preheated grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, until a good crust forms.

Step 5

Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty, cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the desired doneness is reached and the cheese is melted.

Step 6

While the patties are cooking, wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato into thin slices.

Step 7

Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

Step 8

Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on a large lettuce leaf, followed by tomato slices, pickles, a tablespoon of mayonnaise, and a teaspoon of mustard. Top with another lettuce leaf to create a low-carb wrap.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy your low-carb classic American cheeseburger!
