Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork tenderloin
  • 0.5 cup tamari sauce
  • 2 tablespoons erythritol sweetener
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce (sugar-free)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon red food coloring (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Trim excess fat from the pork tenderloin and cut it into 2 to 3 long strips that are about 2 inches wide.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine tamari sauce, erythritol sweetener, sugar-free hoisin sauce, minced garlic, grated fresh ginger, five-spice powder, optional red food coloring, avocado oil, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Place the pork into a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the pork, coating it thoroughly.

Step 4

Seal the bag or cover the dish and let the pork marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight for the best flavor.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.

Step 6

Remove the pork from the marinade and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Reserve the marinade for basting.

Step 7

Bake the pork in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

Step 8

Baste the pork with the reserved marinade every 10 minutes to ensure it remains juicy and flavorful.

Step 9

After 30 minutes, increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and continue to cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the pork is slightly charred and fully cooked. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Step 10

Remove from the oven and let the pork rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Step 11

Slice the pork into thin pieces and serve warm, with your choice of low-carb vegetables or a salad.
