Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground chicken
  • 1 medium head Green cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 3 Green onions
  • 1 Egg
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
  • 50 ml Water

Directions

Step 1

Core the cabbage and carefully peel away 16 whole leaves. These will serve as the wrappers for your potstickers.

Step 2

In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the cabbage leaves for 30 seconds to make them pliable. Remove leaves and place them on paper towels to dry.

Step 3

Finely mince the ginger and garlic cloves, and thinly slice the green onions. Set aside.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, garlic, sliced green onions, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Step 5

Take a cabbage leaf and place about a tablespoon of the chicken filling in the center. Fold the cabbage leaf around the filling to form a pot sticker. Repeat with remaining leaves and filling.

Step 6

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pot stickers, seam side down, in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary.

Step 7

Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.

Step 8

Add the water to the skillet and immediately cover with a lid; steam the pot stickers for 3-4 minutes until the filling is cooked through and the leaves are tender.

Step 9

In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sriracha sauce to make a dipping sauce.

Step 10

Serve the pot stickers warm with the dipping sauce on the side.
