  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 small Green chilies
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 small Tomato
  • 0.5 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Begin by finely shredding the cabbage and set it aside.

Step 2

Chop the onion finely, slit the green chilies, and dice the tomato.

Step 3

Crush the garlic and ginger together to form a paste.

Step 4

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.

Add cumin seeds and sauté until aromatic.

Add the chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.

Stir in the garlic-ginger paste and cook for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
