Ingredients

  • 3 large egg
  • 1 cup green cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons green onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 0.5 cup cheddar cheese

Directions

Step 1

Start by finely shredding 1 cup of green cabbage. Chop green onions finely and mince the garlic clove.

Step 2

Crack 3 large eggs into a bowl. Whisk them until well blended and season with 0.25 teaspoon of salt and 0.25 teaspoon of black pepper.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until it starts to soften. Stir in the chopped green onions and 0.25 teaspoon red chili flakes, cooking for another 1 minute.

Step 5

Reduce the heat to low and evenly spread the sautéed cabbage mixture in the skillet. Pour the beaten eggs over the cabbage, tilting the pan gently to distribute evenly.

Step 6

Cook the omelette on low heat for 3-4 minutes, until the base is set but the top is still slightly runny.

Step 7

Sprinkle 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over one half of the omelette.

Step 8

Gently fold the omelette in half, covering the cheese, and cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the cheese to melt and the omelette to cook through.

Step 9

Carefully slide the omelette onto a serving plate. Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions if desired.
