Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 0.5 cup Coconut flour
  • 6 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 0.5 cup Feta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 cup Butter

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, and baking powder. Mix well to ensure there are no lumps.

Step 3

In another bowl, beat 4 of the eggs. Add the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, salt, and black pepper to the beaten eggs and combine thoroughly.

Step 4

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat or in the microwave, and then let it cool slightly.

Step 5

Add the melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix well. It will form a crumbly dough.

Step 6

Take the cheese mixture and gradually incorporate it into the dough, kneading until everything is fully combined and the dough is smooth.

Step 7

On a clean surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 8

Evenly spread the cheese filling mixture on top of the dough.

Step 9

Carefully roll the dough with the cheese filling into a tight log, and then coil it into a spiral shape, like a snail shell.

Step 10

Transfer the spiral to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 11

Beat the remaining 2 eggs and brush them over the top of the dough spiral to create a golden crust during baking.

Step 12

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the burek is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Step 13

Allow it to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
