Ingredients

  • 200 grams almond flour
  • 50 grams ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 240 milliliters buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix together the almond flour, ground flaxseed, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil until well combined.

Step 4

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir with a spatula until a smooth dough forms.

Step 5

Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a round loaf, about 1.5 inches thick.

Step 6

Using a sharp knife, score a deep cross on top of the loaf to help it bake evenly.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown on top and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Step 8

Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
