Ingredients

  • 500 grams Broccoli florets
  • 225 grams Cream cheese
  • 120 ml Heavy cream
  • 200 grams Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 30 grams Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 30 grams Almond flour

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Step 2

Blanch the broccoli florets by boiling them in a pot of salted water for 3-4 minutes. Drain and immediately transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain well and set aside.

Step 3

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the cream cheese and stir until melted and combined with the butter.

Step 4

Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring continuously, until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 5

Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir to combine.

Step 6

Add 150 grams of the shredded cheddar cheese to the saucepan and stir until melted and fully incorporated into the sauce.

Step 7

In a large mixing bowl, combine the blanched broccoli florets with the cheese sauce, ensuring the broccoli is well-coated.

Step 8

Pour the broccoli mixture into a greased casserole dish.

Step 9

In a small bowl, combine the remaining shredded cheddar cheese, grated parmesan cheese, and almond flour. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.

Step 10

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbling.

Step 11

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Serve hot.
