Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin
  • 1 cup canned black soybeans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 1 medium green bell pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 pieces green onions

Directions

Step 1

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 1/4-inch thick. Set aside.

Step 2

Drain and rinse the black soybeans under cold water. Set aside.

Step 3

Cut the red and green bell peppers into thin strips. Halve the onion and slice it thinly. Mince the garlic cloves.

Step 4

In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Step 5

Add the sliced beef to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned all over. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 6

In the same skillet, add the sliced onions, red and green bell peppers. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables start to soften.

Step 7

Add the minced garlic, soy sauce, ginger, and red pepper flakes to the vegetables. Stir well to combine.

Step 8

Return the beef to the skillet and add the drained black soybeans. Stir everything together and cook for another 3-4 minutes, ensuring the beef is cooked through and everything is well mixed.

Step 9

Season with ground black pepper and drizzle the sesame oil over the beef and vegetable mixture.

Step 10

Stir well and cook for an additional minute.

Step 11

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
