Ingredients

  • 2 cups Almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup Full-fat sour cream
  • 1 pound Ground sausage
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon Xanthan gum
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Whisk to mix well.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add melted butter and sour cream, mixing until smooth.

Step 4

Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.

Step 5

Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, forming 6 even-sized biscuits.

Step 6

Bake the biscuits for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and set. Let cool slightly.

Step 7

While the biscuits are baking, crumble the ground sausage into a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion powder and cook until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes.

Step 8

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to simmer gently.

Step 9

Sprinkle xanthan gum over the sausage mixture and stir well to thicken the gravy. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.

Step 10

Season the gravy with black pepper to taste.

Step 11

Split the biscuits in half and ladle the sausage gravy generously over each half.

Step 12

Serve warm and enjoy your low-carb breakfast!
