Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef sirloin steak, sliced into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 units garlic cloves, minced
  • 250 grams brown mushrooms, sliced
  • 120 milliliters heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Season the beef strips with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Step 3

Once the oil is hot, add the beef strips in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook each batch for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining olive oil and butter to the skillet.

Step 5

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 6

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and tender.

Step 7

Pour in the heavy cream and add the fresh thyme, stirring well to combine.

Step 8

Return the beef strips to the skillet. Stir to coat the beef in the creamy mushroom sauce and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the beef is heated through.

Step 9

Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

Step 10

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
