Ingredients

  • 2 cups Almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons Psyllium husk
  • 1.5 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil (or any preferred oil)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, psyllium husk, salt, and cumin seeds. Mix well until all dry ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 2

Slowly add water to the dry mixture, stirring continuously with your hands or a spatula until a dough begins to form.

Step 3

Add the olive oil and continue kneading the dough until it is smooth and pliable. If the dough feels too sticky, add a little bit more almond flour.

Step 4

Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.

Step 5

Place a portion of the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and gently roll it out to form a circle about 6 inches in diameter.

Step 6

Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.

Step 7

Carefully peel off the top parchment paper and transfer the rolled bhakri onto the heated pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until light golden brown spots appear.

Step 8

Repeat the rolling and cooking process with the remaining portions of dough.

Step 9

Once all the bhakris are cooked, serve them warm with your choice of curry or condiment.
