Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion (grated)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 pieces low-carb flatbread
  • 1 cup lettuce (shredded)
  • 1 large tomato (diced)
  • 0.5 cup cucumber (sliced)
  • 0.25 cup red onion (sliced)
  • 0.5 cup tzatziki sauce

Directions

Step 1

Combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, allspice, salt, black pepper, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly using your hands or a spatula until well combined.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 3

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Shape the meat mixture into a rectangular loaf about 1 inch high and place it on the prepared tray.

Step 4

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 5

While the beef is cooking, prepare the toppings. Shred the lettuce, dice the tomato, slice the cucumber and red onion, and set aside.

Step 6

Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Step 7

Slice the cooked beef into thin strips.

Step 8

Warm the low-carb flatbreads in a skillet with a little olive oil over medium heat for about 1 minute on each side.

Step 9

Assemble the donairs by placing a few beef slices in the center of each flatbread. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sliced cucumber, sliced red onion, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce.

Step 10

Wrap the flatbread up around the fillings, tucking in one end to create a pocket. Serve immediately.
