Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 pieces bacon strips
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1 unit large tomato, sliced
  • 8 leaves large romaine lettuce leaves
  • 0.5 unit red onion, sliced into rings
  • 0.5 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon strips and cook until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove bacon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Divide into four equal portions and shape into patties.

Step 3

Using the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the beef patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to desired doneness.

Step 4

During the last minute of cooking the beef patties, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover the skillet to melt the cheese quickly.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and mustard together. Set aside.

Step 6

Remove the patties and let them rest for a few minutes.

Step 7

To assemble the burgers, start with a large romaine lettuce leaf, add a cheese-topped beef patty, followed by tomato slices, onion rings, crispy bacon, and sliced dill pickles.

Step 8

Drizzle a spoonful of the mayo-mustard sauce over the top and cover with another lettuce leaf to complete the burger.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy your low carb bacon and cheese burger!
