Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Almond flour
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated erythritol (or preferred low-carb sweetener)
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan with butter or non-stick spray.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, granulated erythritol, and salt. Mix until evenly distributed.

Step 3

Cut the unsalted butter into small cubes and add to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your hands, mix the butter into the almond flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 4

Add the large egg to the bowl and mix until the dough comes together and forms a ball. If the dough is too sticky, you can refrigerate it for 10 minutes before working with it further.

Step 5

Press the dough evenly into the greased pie pan, covering the bottom and sides. Flatten and smooth out the surface using your fingers or the back of a spoon.

Step 6

Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork to prevent it from puffing up during baking.

Step 7

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until it is just starting to turn golden brown. Keep an eye on it to prevent overbaking.

Step 8

Remove the crust from the oven and let it cool completely before adding your desired filling.
