Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets
  • 16 pieces large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 sprigs fresh dill (for garnish, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.

Step 2

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, then drizzle them with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season both sides with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and paprika.

Step 3

Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet skin-side down. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Step 4

While the salmon is baking, heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.

Step 5

Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, stirring frequently to avoid burning.

Step 6

Add the shrimp to the skillet, sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side, or until pink and fully cooked.

Step 7

Lower the heat to medium-low, then stir in the lemon juice and the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and toss the shrimp gently to coat them in the garlic-butter sauce. Remove from heat.

Step 8

To serve, plate each salmon fillet and top with 4 shrimp along with a spoonful of the garlic-butter sauce from the skillet.

Step 9

Optionally, garnish with a sprig of fresh dill and an additional sprinkle of parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!
