Directions

Step 1

Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. Lightly grease the parchment paper with butter to prevent sticking.

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, half (7 ounces) of the sweetened condensed milk, 1 tablespoon of butter, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Microwave in 20-second increments, stirring after each interval, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.

Stir 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture. Once thoroughly combined, pour the chocolate layer into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly using a spatula. Place the dish in the refrigerator to chill for 10 minutes.
