  • 4 pieces Hamburger buns
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 pieces Cheddar cheese slices (optional)
  • 8 slices Pickles (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons Mustard (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until the seasoning is evenly distributed, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a thin patty, slightly larger than the size of the hamburger buns. Use your thumb to make a small indent in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a small amount of butter (about 1/2 tablespoon) to the pan and allow it to melt.
