Ingredients

  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 0.5 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Hot sauce (optional, for heat)
  • 0.25 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and honey over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves.

Step 2

Add the Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce (if using). Stir until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 3

Slowly add the water to the saucepan to thin out the sauce slightly. Stir well to blend.

Step 4

Lower the heat to a simmer and let the sauce cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.

Step 5

Once the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 6

Brush the sauce onto chicken while grilling, or use it as a marinade or dipping sauce. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
