Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour

  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 unit Egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, paprika, black pepper, and garlic powder (if using).

Cut the cold unsalted butter into small cubes and add them to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to rub the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in 1 cup of finely grated Parmesan cheese, reserving the remaining 0.25 cup for later use.
