Ingredients

  • 400 grams linguine pasta
  • 200 grams smoked salmon
  • 200 milliliters heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 units garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 120 milliliters reserved pasta water

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the linguine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 120 milliliters (about 1/2 cup) of pasta water, then drain the linguine and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, finely mince the garlic and chop the smoked salmon into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine, and let it gently simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Add the chopped smoked salmon into the skillet and stir. Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the salmon to warm through.

Step 6

Stir in the lemon juice, grated Parmesan cheese, and reserved pasta water. Mix until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 7

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing it gently to coat the pasta in the creamy smoked salmon sauce.

Step 8

Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle in the fresh dill. Mix lightly to distribute the herbs evenly.

Step 9

Serve the pasta immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and a sprig of dill if desired. Pair with a light salad or crusty bread for a complete meal.
