Ingredients

  • 250 g linguine
  • 400 g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 pieces lemon wedges

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 3

Add the prawns to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are fully cooked. Remove the prawns from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the honey, soy sauce, fresh lemon juice, and butter. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 5

Return the cooked prawns to the skillet. Toss them in the honey sauce until well coated. Sprinkle in the red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Lower the heat and add the cooked linguine to the skillet along with a splash of the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce, adding more pasta water as needed to achieve your desired consistency.
