Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper, freshly ground

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining the pasta.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to let it burn.
