Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cups lingonberry jam
  • 1 cups rolled oats
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoons baking powder

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder.

Step 3

Cut the cold butter into small cubes and add it to the bowl. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 4

Add the vanilla extract and rolled oats, then mix until evenly distributed.

Step 5

Take 2/3 of the crumb mixture and press it firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to create the crust.

Step 6

Spread the lingonberry jam evenly over the crust using a spatula or the back of a spoon.

Step 7

Add the brown sugar to the remaining crumb mixture and sprinkle it over the jam layer, covering it completely.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

Step 9

Remove the bars from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan before slicing into 12 equal pieces.

Step 10

Serve and enjoy your homemade Lingonberry Bars!
