Ingredients

  • 1 cup Warm water (110°F to 115°F)
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 cups Bread flour
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast

Directions

Step 1

Add the warm water and milk to the bread machine pan. Ensure the liquids are warm but not too hot to avoid killing the yeast.

Step 2

Add the unsalted butter (cut into small pieces), granulated sugar, and salt into the pan.

Step 3

Add the bread flour, spreading it evenly over the liquid mixture.

Step 4

Make a small well in the center of the flour and add the active dry yeast. Do not let the yeast touch the liquid at this stage.

Step 5

Place the pan into your bread machine and select the 'Dough' setting. Start the machine and let it mix, knead, and complete the first rise as programmed.

Step 6

Once the dough cycle is complete, remove the dough from the machine and turn it onto a lightly floured surface.

Step 7

Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape each into a smooth ball.

Step 8

Place the balls onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet or in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spacing them evenly.

Step 9

Cover the rolls with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30 to 45 minutes.

Step 10

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) during the second rise.

Step 11

Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown on the tops and sound hollow when tapped.

Step 12

Optional: Brush the tops of the hot rolls with melted butter for a richer flavor and glossier finish.

Step 13

Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with butter or as a side to your favorite meal.
