Ingredients

  • 500 grams pork loin
  • 300 grams green beans
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 units garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1

Trim any excess fat from the pork loin and slice into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 2

Wash the green beans, trim the edges, and cut them into 2-inch pieces.

Step 3

In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, ground ginger, ground cumin, chili flakes, honey, cornstarch, and water. Whisk until smooth and set aside.

Step 4

Mince the garlic cloves finely and set aside.

Step 5

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Step 6

Add the pork strips, season lightly with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Step 7

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Toss in the green beans and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until they are crisp-tender.

Step 8

Push the green beans to the sides of the skillet and add the minced garlic to the center. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Step 9

Return the cooked pork to the skillet and pour the soy sauce mixture over the pork and green beans.

Step 10

Stir everything together, ensuring all the pork and green beans are coated in the sauce.

Step 11

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and clings to the pork and green beans.

Step 12

Remove from heat and serve immediately with cooked rice or noodles, if desired.
