  • 4 medium Ripe bananas
  • 12 ounces Vanilla wafer cookies
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoons Vanilla extract (for whipped cream)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, flour, and salt.

Step 2

Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Place the pan over medium heat and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture begins to thicken (about 5-7 minutes).

In a small bowl, beat the egg yolks. Gradually stir about 1/2 cup of the hot milk mixture into the yolks to temper them, then slowly whisk the egg mixture back into the saucepan.
