Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground beef or lamb
  • 60 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small Red onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tsp Oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp Cumin, ground
  • 1 Zest of lemon
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, mint, oregano, cumin, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Mix the ingredients together thoroughly using clean hands or a wooden spoon until well combined.

Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a small meatball. Repeat until all the mixture has been used, making approximately 20-25 meatballs.
