Ingredients

  • 4 whole Fresh lemons
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 750 milliliters Water
  • 1 set Ice block molds
  • 6 pieces Popsicle sticks

Directions

Step 1

Roll the fresh lemons on the countertop to soften them and make juicing easier.

Step 2

Cut the lemons in half and juice them using a citrus juicer. You should have about 120 milliliters of fresh lemon juice.

Step 3

In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar with 250 milliliters of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves to form a simple syrup. Allow to cool for a few minutes.

Step 4

In a large mixing bowl, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, the cooled simple syrup, and the remaining 500 milliliters of water. Stir well to ensure everything is combined.

Step 5

Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar or water if necessary.

Step 6

Carefully pour the lemonade mixture into the ice block molds, leaving a slight gap at the top to allow for expansion as it freezes.

Step 7

Insert a popsicle stick into the center of each mold. If your mold doesn’t have a built-in slot to hold the sticks, cover the molds with aluminum foil and pierce a small hole for each stick to keep them upright.

Step 8

Place the molds in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours or until completely frozen.

Step 9

To remove the ice blocks, run the outside of the molds under warm water for a few seconds to loosen them.

Step 10

Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing lemonade ice blocks!
