Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Turkey cutlets
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Capers (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Season both sides of the turkey cutlets with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

Dredge each turkey cutlet in the all-purpose flour, shaking off the excess.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the turkey cutlets in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary) and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the cutlets from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Step 4

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low and melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.

Step 5

Add the chicken broth, scraping the skillet’s bottom to deglaze and loosen any browned bits. Let the mixture simmer for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and capers if using. Allow the sauce to simmer for 1-2 minutes, blending the flavors.

Step 7

Return the turkey cutlets to the skillet, coating them with the lemon sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes, spooning sauce over the cutlets to warm them through and fully incorporate the flavors.

Step 8

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley just before serving.

Step 9

Serve the lemon turkey cutlets immediately, optionally pairing with rice, sautéed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
