  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for greasing the pan)
  • 0 extra powdered sugar (for dusting)

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy—do not overmix.
