Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.

Once the oil is hot, place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the skillet. Sear for 5-7 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

Flip the chicken thighs and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
