  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them thoroughly under cold water.

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt to the water.

Add the green beans to the boiling water and blanch for 3-4 minutes, or until they turn bright green and are tender-crisp.
