Ingredients

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Fresh dill
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 60 ml Water

Directions

Step 1

Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Slice each Brussels sprout in half lengthwise.

Step 2

Finely mince the garlic cloves and set aside.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 4

Once the oil is heated, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Step 5

Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet, cut side down. Cook for 3-4 minutes without stirring until the cut sides are golden brown.

Step 6

Season the Brussels sprouts with salt and black pepper. Add the water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Let the Brussels sprouts steam for 5-7 minutes, or until tender but still firm.

Step 7

Remove the lid and let any remaining water evaporate. Stir in the lemon zest and lemon juice to coat the Brussels sprouts evenly.

Step 8

Sprinkle the chopped fresh dill over the Brussels sprouts and give everything a final toss in the skillet.

Step 9

Transfer the Lemon Dilled Brussels Sprouts to a serving dish and serve warm. Enjoy!
