Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 50 grams bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 200 grams Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon dill, chopped
  • 0.25 cup cucumber, finely grated
  • 1 clove garlic (for dressing), minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt (for dressing)
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 0.5 medium red onion, thinly sliced

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley, minced garlic, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties about 1.5 cm thick.

Step 3

Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken patties and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).

Step 4

While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt dressing. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, dill, grated cucumber (squeeze out excess moisture), minced garlic, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
