Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry sheet
  • 120 grams cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 piece apple (large, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle approximately 10x12 inches and transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and lemon zest until smooth. Set aside.

In another bowl, toss the thinly sliced apple with ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and flour until evenly coated.

With the puff pastry positioned vertically, spread the lemon cream cheese mixture down the center third of the rectangle, leaving the top and bottom 2 inches free of filling.
